This community is where Contrast users ask questions, share what they’ve learned, and get help from both this community and Contrast staff. From a solo developer trying CVE Shield for the first time, to Enterprise AppSec teams, this post is your starting point.

What this space is for

• Asking questions about setting up agents, reading findings, or configuring your account.
• Sharing what worked (or didn't) when you connected your first application.
• Getting a faster answer from a peer or a Contrast moderator than you might waiting on a ticket queue.
• Finding official Knowledge Base articles linked directly from threads that lead to documented answers.

Community guidelines

• Search before you post. Someone may have already asked your question, and a quick search saves everyone time.
• Include the details that help others help you: your tier, the language/agent you're using, and any error text, exactly as it appeared.
• Never post API keys, connection tokens, account IDs, or customer data, even to illustrate a problem. Redact first.
• Keep it respectful. Disagreement about a technical approach is fine; personal attacks aren't.
• Stay on topic for the forum you're posting in. Off-topic posts may get moved or removed.

How moderation works

Contrast Support Moderators and Product Managers monitor this community regularly. When a thread produces a verified, high-quality answer, moderators may turn it into an official Knowledge Base article and link back to the original post. 

If a post breaks the guidelines above, a moderator may edit, move, or remove it, and will explain why when they do.
